I’ve just recently discovered The Nerd Writer (on Twitter @theenerdwriter), AKA Evan Puschak, and I’m already a big fan. His video essays are damn smart and well thought out.
His newest video is a must-watch, must-share, must-remember examination of how magicians, con-men, hucksters and hacks employ the same tools of the trade to distract, deflect and confound their audiences.
If we want to understand how pervasive, pernicious and perilous spin is throughout our civic and consumer societies, this video essay is a reeaaaaally good primer.
